Mariyam made her debut as yamyam in early 2022, the same year she became a member of the Hanover-based music collective pavement gum.

Her sound moves between 4-to-the-floor, syncopated rhythms and spherical pads. It combines elements of house, bass and breakbeat, among others.

Mariyam lives and works in Hamburg and recently became part of the music collective Egym.
